A 33-year-old man reportedly stabbed his father and mother to death at their residence in Adarsha Vista Apartments in Vignan Nagar. The victims, identified as Naveen Chandra Bhatt (60) and Dr. Shyamala Bhatt (55), were attacked by their son, Rohan Bhatt, following a domestic dispute. Despite immediate medical attention, the couple succumbed to their injuries.
The accused, Rohan Bhatt, has been apprehended by the HAL police and is currently being interrogated regarding the tragic incident. Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the motive behind the brutal crime. The couple’s daughter is expected to return from the United States for further proceedings.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Whitefield) M. Narayan disclosed that the fatal attack occurred in the morning, resulting in the demise of the victims at Manipal Hospital. A murder case has been registered against Rohan Chandra Bhatt, and legal procedures are underway. The bodies of the deceased are awaiting post-mortem examination at Bowring Hospital.
