A 22-year-old man, Raj Pawar, wanted in connection with a house-breaking theft case involving nearly Rs 50 lakh in Tamil Nadu, has been apprehended in Gujarat’s Valsad district. The arrest was made through a joint operation by the Tamil Nadu and Gujarat Police. Pawar, a resident of Solsumba in Umargam taluka of Valsad district, was identified as the accused in a case filed at Kinathukadavu Police Station in Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu.

The case against Pawar has been registered under Sections 331(4) and 305(A) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, in connection with the alleged house-breaking theft. The Valsad police, acting on information received by Police Sub-Inspector K. Santhana Karuppu of Tamil Nadu Police, arrested Pawar within the jurisdiction of Umargam Police Station. This successful operation showcased effective inter-state coordination in tracing and apprehending the wanted individual.

Raj Pawar, upon his arrest, was taken into custody for further legal proceedings related to the Tamil Nadu case. Records indicate that Pawar has been previously involved in two cases registered at Umargam Police Station in 2025. These cases pertain to offenses under Section 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, along with provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. One case involves Sections 177 and 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act, while the other includes Sections 3 and 181 of the Act.
