Police in New South Wales are investigating a late-night stabbing incident in Kingsgrove, southwest of central Sydney, where a 44-year-old man was attacked by two unknown men on motorcycles. The victim sustained stab wounds to his shoulder and was taken to the hospital in a stable condition. Meanwhile, a 15-year-old boy has been arrested and charged over a machete attack on a light rail service in central Sydney.
The 15-year-old suspect, along with another boy, allegedly assaulted a third 15-year-old boy on the light rail service, resulting in the victim being hospitalized with a stab wound to his left arm. The arrested teenager has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, while efforts to locate the second boy are ongoing. This incident follows a fatal stabbing in February in Merrylands, western Sydney, where one person died and two others were critically injured.
Emergency services responded to the February stabbing, where a man attacked multiple people on a main street before fleeing on foot. Despite medical intervention, one victim died at the scene, while the others were hospitalized in critical condition. A suspect was arrested nearby, and the NSW Police Force has urged anyone with information to come forward.
