A 32-year-old man in Vijay Enclave, Dwarka, suffered serious injuries in an assault following a payment dispute, as per the police report. The victim, identified as Lokesh Gupta, a resident of Vijay Enclave, was attacked by the accused, Ajay Pal, over an unpaid amount of Rs 2 lakh for tent services provided at a wedding. Ajay Pal, along with associates, allegedly tried to sever Gupta’s hands using a grinder during the altercation.

Police responded to a PCR call reporting the incident and found Gupta with severe injuries caused by a sharp weapon. He was initially treated at Rashi Medical Centre and later referred to AIIMS for further medical attention. The main accused, Ajay Pal, has been apprehended, while two juveniles involved have been taken into custody. An investigation is ongoing under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Dabri Police Station, with Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Kushal Pal Singh ensuring a thorough probe.

In a separate incident in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, a 35-year-old woman named Poonam Gupta was killed by her husband, Shobhit Gupta, following repeated arguments about her gym visits. Shobhit, a scrap dealer, allegedly struck his wife on the head with an iron shutter handle during a dispute that turned fatal. The accused attempted to stage the incident as an accident by placing Poonam’s body on the bed and remaining in the house for several hours after the attack.
