A 30-year-old man, Namami Patel, was fatally stabbed in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, following a dispute with another villager, Ghanshyam Kevat. The incident occurred in Saliwada village under the Bargi police station limits late Wednesday night. Police reported that Patel, a welder, was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon.
Patel was initially taken to the government health center at Bargi and then referred to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College in Jabalpur. Despite these efforts, he passed away en route to the medical college due to his injuries. The victim’s family criticized the delayed response of ambulance and emergency services, claiming that timely medical attention could have saved Patel’s life.
The family alleged that they faced difficulties with the ambulance service, forcing them to transport Patel to the hospital in a private vehicle. They also mentioned a mechanical fault with the ambulance at the Bargi hospital, which led them to arrange another private vehicle for the transfer. Police assured that they are investigating the matter, including the allegations against the ambulance service, to take appropriate action based on the findings.
Authorities revealed that Patel had been married for about a year, and they expect to uncover the motive behind the killing once the accused, Ghanshyam Kevat, is apprehended and interrogated.
