Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh strongly denounced the recent killings of unarmed civilians in Loibol Khullen village, Kangpokpi district. He emphasized that targeting innocent civilians is unacceptable and promised severe consequences for the perpetrators. Singh instructed the police and security agencies to swiftly apprehend those responsible for the barbaric acts.

Terming the incidents as heinous and cowardly, the Chief Minister stressed that such deliberate violence against civilians will not be tolerated. He assured that stringent measures will be taken against the culprits and directed authorities to enhance security in vulnerable areas while providing support to affected families. Singh also expressed condolences for the killing of Manipur Police Havildar Suresh Singh during an anti-narcotics operation.

Havildar Suresh Singh lost his life after being attacked by a suspected drug trafficker in Thoubal district. The assailant, Md. Naobi alias Mahil, fatally wounded the policeman with a knife during the operation. Despite immediate medical attention, Havildar Singh succumbed to his injuries at the District Hospital in Thoubal. The police successfully arrested the prime suspect, Md. Naobi alias Mahil, following intensive search operations.

Various tribal organizations, including the Kuki-Zo Council and Kuki Inpi Manipur, condemned the attack on Loibol Khullen village. Alleging involvement of militants from NSCN-IM and ZUF (Kamson), the organizations deplored the violence that claimed three lives and led to the destruction of several houses. The Kuki-Zo Council emphasized the need for a political solution to address the longstanding demands of the Kuki-Zo community for peace and security in Manipur.
