Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh highlighted the importance of peace and harmony for progress during his visit to Andro Assembly constituency. He expressed concern over the prolonged ethnic conflict affecting community relations, education, and the economy. Singh urged all communities to unite for peace restoration, aiming to recreate the harmonious Manipur of the past.
Singh inaugurated development projects including the Ima Market and two bridges in Andro. He emphasized the government’s dedication to constituency development, noting Andro’s historical significance and natural attractions. The Chief Minister announced a Rs 10 crore initiative for inter-village road construction and pledged to establish a Municipal Council office in Andro.
Local MLA Shyamkumar, at the event, highlighted the pandemic’s impact on development activities in Andro. He expressed optimism that under the new government, developmental efforts would regain momentum. Various local organizations submitted requests to the Chief Minister for infrastructure improvements and developmental projects in the constituency.
