Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his commitment to the state’s development. He credited Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the joint efforts of the Central and state governments for the improved law and order situation in Manipur. Singh highlighted the progress made in the rehabilitation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) with Central government support.
Singh also acknowledged the approval of 5,000 additional houses under PMAY-G for 2026-27 and sought further assistance. He emphasized the state’s journey towards peace under the guidance of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister. Singh shared his efforts to restore peace and rebuild trust among communities since taking office in February 2026.
The Chief Minister detailed his visits to various districts for peace-building initiatives and emphasized the need for Central support to ensure dignity, security, and lasting livelihoods for the displaced. He highlighted challenges from the conflict in Myanmar and stressed the importance of border management and joint actions against illegal activities. Singh also mentioned progress in healthcare and education sectors in Manipur.
