Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh has instructed officials to speed up ongoing development projects within set deadlines. He recently visited Thangal Bazar, a bustling commercial area in Imphal, to oversee road construction and renovation activities. Accompanied by MLAs and various department officials, Singh emphasized the importance of enhancing infrastructure and beautification efforts in the market zone.

Singh interacted with officials on-site, emphasizing the urgency of completing the projects promptly to enhance the market area’s appeal. Thangal Bazar, a significant commercial hub in Imphal, is renowned for its trade activities, traditional clothing markets, and proximity to landmarks like the Manipur State Museum. Since assuming office, the Chief Minister has been actively engaging in meetings to expedite development initiatives across the state.

In a recent high-level meeting focusing on economic recovery, Chief Minister Singh emphasized the promotion of Integrated Farming Systems (IFS) to boost the state’s economy. Discussions included encouraging alternative crop cultivation and exploring the export potential of Manipur’s agricultural produce. The meeting was attended by top officials, including Chief Secretary Puneet Kumar Goel and Agriculture Director Peter Salam, among others.
