Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh stressed the crucial role of a transparent and efficient justice delivery system in maintaining public trust in democratic institutions. The two-day Seminar on Criminal Justice Administration was attended by key officials including Manipur High Court Chief Justice M. Sundar and Advocate General H. Lenin Singh.
The Governor underscored the importance of reforms like Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in transitioning to a citizen-centric justice system and emphasized the need for coordinated efforts among law enforcement agencies. He noted that the new legal framework aims to expedite justice delivery, prioritize victims’ rights, and enhance investigative methods through digital technology. The seminar, held at the Manipur State Film Development Society, focused on the effective implementation of these new criminal laws.
