Maruti Suzuki India Ltd announced that it exported 3.95 lakh vehicles in 2025, marking its highest ever in a calendar year. This reflects a growth of over 21% compared to the previous year. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, expressed pride in this achievement, highlighting it as a testament to India’s manufacturing capabilities and global customer trust.

The company views this 21% growth in exports as a significant contribution to supporting India’s export momentum amidst global trade challenges. Maruti Suzuki is set to retain its position as India’s top passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth consecutive year. In 2025, the company exported 18 models to more than 100 countries, including its first Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), the e VITARA.

Following the launch of the BEV by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Maruti Suzuki’s Hansalpur facility, over 13,000 units have been exported to 29 countries, primarily in Europe. Maruti Suzuki also celebrated a milestone in the domestic market with over 3 crore cumulative car sales. The brand’s popularity in India is evident as it achieved the third crore milestone in a record time of 6 years and 4 months. The Maruti Alto stands out as the best-selling model with over 47 lakh units sold.
