The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has issued an advisory for foreign nationals in India affected by disrupted travel plans due to ongoing developments in the West Asia region. These individuals are urged to contact the nearest Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) for visa extension or regularization. The advisory emphasizes the need for foreign nationals to seek assistance with their visa status adjustments during this period of uncertainty.

The geopolitical situation in the Middle East remains volatile, impacting international travel and visa arrangements for many visitors and residents. India has been proactive in issuing safety and travel advisories for its citizens in the region, responding to recent military strikes and escalating tensions. The Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv has advised Indian nationals to exercise caution, avoid non-essential travel, and stay informed through official channels as the security situation evolves.

In light of the US-Israel strikes on Iran, Indian nationals in the region are advised to remain indoors whenever possible and minimize unnecessary movement. The embassy has established a 24/7 helpline for emergency assistance, emphasizing the importance of staying updated and following safety protocols. Diplomatic missions in other Gulf countries have also urged Indian residents to stay vigilant, adhere to local guidance, and register for timely support.

Amid travel disruptions, airspace closures, and evolving operational conditions, maintaining updated visa status and communication with authorities are crucial. The MEA’s FRRO advisory aims to assist foreign visitors and residents in India during this period of uncertainty, ensuring necessary formalities are addressed promptly.
