The sequel to director Hiphop Tamizha’s film, ‘Meesaya Murukku 2’, starring the director and actress Ramya Ranganathan, is set to hit screens globally on September 25. Avni Cinemax, a production house involved in the movie, confirmed the release date through social media, inviting fans to join the celebration in theaters. The film’s teaser, unveiled earlier this year, hinted at a storyline set in the 1980s, focusing on a gaana singer challenging traditional classical singers.
Expectations for ‘Meesaya Murukku 2’ rose following the teaser’s release, which teased a plot involving a musician’s battle against established classical singers. Hiphop Tamizha, the director and lead actor, has not only helmed the project but also composed the music and penned the lyrics. Additionally, he contributed to the screenplay, dialogues, and story, with Karan Karky and Nithish D providing additional dialogues. The film boasts a talented crew, with Poornima Ramaswamy handling costumes and V S Dinesh Kumar in charge of art direction. Aswin Raam serves as the creative producer, while Action Sandhosh choreographs the stunts. Choreography for the songs is managed by Baba Baskar, Santhosh, and Raghu Thapa, with VFX by 85FX and Hocus Pocus enhancing the visual effects.
