Former Australia cricket captain Michael Clarke recently shared his experience of a frightening road accident that occurred after the IPL 2026 final in Ahmedabad. Clarke, who was a passenger in the vehicle, described how it collided with a semi-trailer, leaving the front half of the car stuck under the truck. Despite the scary incident, Clarke managed to escape with only a few bruises.
Clarke recounted the incident on the Beyond23 Cricket Podcast, mentioning that he had fallen asleep after the game and woke up to find the car lodged under the truck. The driver explained that the collision happened due to the truck’s faulty brake lights. Clarke emphasized the severity of the accident, noting that their car was completely wrecked in the collision.
Although Clarke sustained minor injuries, he expressed concern for the driver, suspecting a possible leg injury. He highlighted the driver’s fear and clarified that the driver was not the car owner but an employee of the company. Clarke also expressed gratitude towards the BCCI officials who provided support and assistance to both him and the injured driver after the accident.
