Minister of State for Statistics and Programme Implementation, Rao Inderjit Singh, praised the Union Budget, calling it more than just promises but a roadmap of duties and determination. He emphasized that the budget signifies the government’s commitment to fulfilling its obligations to all citizens.
Addressing the media in Gurugram, MoS Rao highlighted that the budget outlines a clear strategy to empower all segments of society. He stressed that it offers not just announcements but a vision that fosters opportunities and support at the grassroots level, enabling the nation to progress continuously.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, MoS Rao noted that the budget reflects a strong vision of advancing heritage and development together. It encompasses various sectors such as manufacturing, infrastructure, health, education, tourism, rural development, artificial intelligence, and sports, marking a significant step towards realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat.
The Minister pointed out a substantial increase in infrastructure investment by the Central government over the past decade. He highlighted the rise in allocations for road transport and highways, railways, housing and urban affairs, and the energy sector, indicating a continuous effort to strengthen the economy’s infrastructure backbone.
Discussing the manufacturing sector, MoS Rao highlighted the budget’s new direction towards manufacturing growth. He cited initiatives like the Rs 10,000 crore SME Growth Fund for MSMEs, Rs 40,000 crore for electronics manufacturing expansion, and Rs 10,000 crore investment under the BioPharma Shakti Scheme as evidence of this strategic focus.
