Ministers Assess Flood Situation in Northeast, Pledge Support

Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, along with other ministers, reviewed the flood situation in the Northeast due to heavy rainfall. Assurances of full support were given to the affected states by the Centre.
Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, and Manipur are facing adverse weather conditions, with several districts affected by floods. The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) is actively coordinating with state governments and agencies to provide necessary assistance.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, accompanied by Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Kiren Rijiju, visited flood-hit areas to assess the damage and expedite relief efforts. The government is committed to minimizing the impact of floods and ensuring swift rescue and restoration operations.
