The Ministry of Railways has made significant changes to the Ahmedabad-Okha Vande Bharat Express. The terminal operations will now shift from Ahmedabad railway station to Sabarmati (Jail Side) station. Starting August 17, the train will also make its first-ever halt at Ambli Road.

The modifications aim to enhance passenger convenience and rail connectivity. Train Nos: 22925 and 22926, operating between Sabarmati and Okha, will see a revised timetable and an additional stop at Ambli Road railway station. The new schedule for Train No. 22925 will have it depart Sabarmati at 6:15 a.m. daily, except Tuesdays, reaching Okha at 1:20 p.m.

On the return journey, Train No. 22926 will depart Okha at 4:45 p.m., with a stop at Ambli Road at 10:40 p.m., before terminating at Sabarmati at 11:10 p.m. The Vande Bharat Express will now start and end its journey at Sabarmati (Jail Side) station.

Railway authorities mentioned that the addition of Ambli Road as a stop caters to the travel needs of passengers in Ahmedabad’s expanding western corridor. Ambli Road railway station will now serve areas like SG Highway, Bodakdev, Prahlad Nagar, South Bopal, Shela, and nearby localities, reducing travel time for passengers.

The Railways clarified that the current timetable will remain until the new schedule is implemented. The existing arrangements for Train Nos: 22925 and 22926 will be valid until August 15, 2026, and August 16, respectively.
