Actress Mithila Palkar is excited about her character in the upcoming series ‘Super Subbu,’ which strikes a balance between humor and genuine emotions. The show’s trailer, released recently, also features Sundeep Kishan and Murali Sharma in significant roles. The storyline revolves around Subramanyam “Subbu” Chillukuri Rao, who faces the challenging task of teaching sex education in the village of Maakipur.
Palkar expressed her enthusiasm for the series, highlighting its blend of humor and human emotions. She praised the narrative for exploring themes of relationships, acceptance, and mutual understanding. The actress also shared her joy in collaborating with Netflix again, from her previous project ‘Little Things’ to now being part of ‘Super Subbu.’
Sundeep Kishan, another cast member, emphasized the show’s approach to addressing sensitive topics with humor and honesty. He described his character, Subbu, as a well-meaning individual who often finds himself in comedic and chaotic situations. Kishan lauded the eccentric characters and comedic misunderstandings in Maakipur, expressing excitement for viewers to experience the series.
The series, created by Mallik Ram, Ramesh Eligeti, and Shivani Dhobal, and produced by Rajiv Chilaka and Bharath Laxmipati under Chilaka Productions, promises a unique blend of humor, heart, and small-town chaos. ‘Super Subbu’ is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on 2 July.
