Monalisa Bhosle’s mother, Lata Bhosle, revealed that her daughter, a minor, was enticed and taken away. Alleging involvement of Monalisa’s husband, Farman Khan, Lata stated that promises of a movie role were made, emphasizing Monalisa’s underage status. With government assistance, necessary birth documents confirming Monalisa’s minority have been obtained.
Urging authorities to facilitate Monalisa’s safe return, Lata appealed for swift action. A POCSO case was filed against Farman Khan by Madhya Pradesh Police post an investigation by the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, which disclosed Monalisa’s minor status. The Commission has summoned police officials from Kerala and Madhya Pradesh over alleged creation of a fake birth certificate for Monalisa’s marriage.
The controversial wedding of Monalisa on March 11 in Poovar near Thiruvananthapuram has come under scrutiny following these revelations. Amid police protection due to threats, the ceremony attracted significant attention and political support, raising questions about the authenticity of the marriage.
