Bhopal, Aug 1 (IANS) Madhya Pradesh will launch the Mukhyamantri Jan Vishwas Abhiyan from August 7 to strengthen grievance redressal and improve citizens’ access to government services, Minister Vishwas Sarang said on Saturday.
The campaign aims to ensure the timely resolution of public grievances and reduce the need for citizens to make repeated visits to government offices, the senior BJP leader said.
“The Bharatiya Janata Party government is a government of the people. To ensure that people’s problems are resolved and they do not have to make repeated visits to government offices, a new campaign called the Mukhyamantri Jan Vishwas Abhiyan will begin on August 7,” Sarang told IANS.
The campaign is expected to involve departments across the state administration in expediting the disposal of pending complaints, applications and public service requests.
According to the Minister, the emphasis will be on ensuring that citizens receive government services in a transparent, efficient and accountable manner.
Sarang said the initiative is part of the state government’s broader effort to strengthen last-mile governance by making officials more responsive to public concerns.
He said improving the grievance redressal mechanism would not only enhance administrative efficiency but also build greater trust between citizens and the government.
While the minister did not disclose operational details of the campaign, officials are expected to undertake extensive outreach at the district and local levels to facilitate quicker resolution of public issues and improve access to government welfare schemes and essential services.
The announcement comes as the Madhya Pradesh government has been emphasising administrative reforms, digital governance and improved delivery of public services through various citizen-centric initiatives.
Meanwhile, Sarang, who is heading the sports and youth welfare department of the Madhya Pradesh government, also congratulated Indian athletes for their performance at the Commonwealth Games, particularly those from Madhya Pradesh.
“It is a matter of great happiness that India’s flag continues to fly high in the Commonwealth Games. It is a matter of pride that two players from Madhya Pradesh have won silver medals. Yamini, our daughter, has won a silver medal in judo,” he said.
He said the achievements of athletes from the state reflect the growing sports ecosystem in Madhya Pradesh and would inspire young sportspersons to compete at national and international levels.
