During Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to the Seemanchal region, Purnea MP Rajesh Ranjan, known as Pappu Yadav, highlighted the unfulfilled election promises made to the people, especially farmers. He emphasized the commitment to establish a maize and makhana-based factory in Purnea and nearby areas, stressing the need for its immediate realization. Yadav pointed out the lack of processing units and industries in Seemanchal, affecting fair pricing for farmers’ produce, and called for the establishment of agro-processing industries to benefit the region.
Yadav also advocated for a special economic package targeting the underprivileged sections of Seemanchal, emphasizing the necessity of focused interventions to uplift the socio-economic status of the region. He criticized the ruling alliance, particularly Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, challenging the alleged possession of files on leaders and urging transparency in politics. Yadav further commented on the political scenario, responding to BJP’s criticism of Rahul Gandhi and highlighting the need for concrete agendas over diversion tactics.
Additionally, Yadav raised concerns about the recent rape and murder case of a NEET student in Patna, alleging a conspiracy against him when he addressed the issue, leading to a reduction in his security. The statements made during Amit Shah’s visit suggest a potential escalation in political discourse in Bihar in the upcoming days.
