New Delhi, Aug 8 (IANS) As part of the weekly public grievance hearing, BJP’s South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri on Saturday initiated steps to resolve public grievances related to the DDA, various departments of the Central and Delhi governments and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

To facilitate their resolution, he issued 27 direction letters to departments as part of the hearing organised by the Delhi BJP Sahayog Cell, said a party leader.

Bidhuri said that many people came to the public hearing held at the Delhi BJP office with their grievances.

“We listened to every complaint with seriousness and directed the concerned officials to take prompt action for their resolution,” he said.

The MP said that a BJP government is a government of the people and its objective is to ensure that every citizen’s voice is heard and their grievances are resolved on time. Basic issues related to water, electricity, sanitation and ration will be addressed on priority, he added.

“I thank all the workers and office-bearers who contributed to making this public hearing successful. We will continue to engage directly with the people every week and work towards resolving their concerns,” Bidhuri said.

In another development, Delhi BJP president and East Delhi MP Harsh Malhotra expressed grief over the death due to drowning of a young man, Ankit, in a drain near Priyanka Camp in Southeast Delhi.

Expressing his condolences to the bereaved family, Malhotra said that the Delhi government and the BJP family stand with Ankit’s family in this hour of crisis. He assured the grieving family of compensation and support from the government.

A councillor from Madanpur Khadar West ward, Brahm Singh, and BJP leader Manish Chaudhary, who contested the 2025 Assembly election from the Okhla constituency, reached the bereaved family and assured the family of all possible assistance.
