Two-time champions Mumbai Indians have started their training camp for the upcoming Women’s Premier League season. The fourth edition of WPL is scheduled to be held at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara from January 9 to February 5. Led by Head Coach Lisa Keightley and supported by Jhulan Goswami, Devieka Palshikaar, and other staff, players like Saika Ishaque, Sajana S, Sanskriti Gupta, and more have begun pre-season training.
Coach Keightley expressed enthusiasm about the camp, highlighting the opportunity to work with domestic players and build connections. The training sessions focused on fitness, skill assessment, and team unity, preparing the players for the upcoming season. The Mumbai Indians, as defending champions, are set to open their campaign against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on January 9.
