Amelia Kerr and Nicola Carey each took three wickets, helping Mumbai Indians secure a 50-run victory over Delhi Capitals at the DY Patil Stadium. Nat Sciver-Brunt and captain Harmanpreet Kaur played crucial innings of 70 and 74 not out, guiding MI to a total of 195/4. Despite Chinelle Henry’s 56 runs, DC struggled in their chase and were bowled out for 149 in 19 overs.

Lizelle Lee and Shafali Verma fell early in DC’s chase, with Nicola Carey and Nat Sciver-Brunt making key breakthroughs. Jemimah Rodrigues, in her first match as DC skipper, was dismissed for just one run. Marizanne Kapp and Niki Prasad also fell cheaply, with Amelia Kerr and MI’s disciplined bowling attack keeping the pressure on DC.

Chinelle Henry fought hard, scoring a quick fifty off 30 balls, but DC’s innings fell short as they failed to reach the target. Mumbai Indians’ strong performance with both bat and ball earned them their first win of the season.
