Mumbai Indians have won the toss and chosen to bat first against Chennai Super Kings in Match 44 of the Indian Premier League 2026 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. This match is crucial for both teams as they strive to stay in the race for the playoffs.

After winning the toss, Mumbai Indians’ captain Hardik Pandya announced that leg-spinner Raghu Sharma would make his debut, and Krish Bhagat would return to the playing eleven. Raghu Sharma, who was a support bowler for MI last year, will be an Impact Player in MI’s second innings.

Chennai Super Kings’ skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad mentioned that pace bowling all-rounder Ramakrishna Ghosh would replace Gurjapneet Singh, while Prashant Veer would come in for Akeal Hosein. Gaikwad expressed confidence in his team’s performance, emphasizing the importance of sticking to the process for achieving positive results.
