Five-time champions Mumbai Indians have made signings to replace injured players Quinton de Kock and Raj Angad Bawa for the remainder of the IPL 2026 season. De Kock suffered a wrist injury, while Bawa had a thumb injury, both leading to their exclusion after playing only three matches this season.

Mahipal Lomror, a left-handed batting all-rounder from Rajasthan with previous IPL experience, joins Mumbai Indians for Rs 50 lakh. Ruchit Ahir, a wicketkeeper-batter from Saurashtra, with List A and T20 experience, is signed for Rs 30 lakh. Mumbai Indians expressed their pleasure in welcoming both players to the squad.

Currently positioned ninth on the points table with no chance of making the playoffs, Mumbai Indians will play their final game against Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium. A loss in this match would see them finish at the bottom of the IPL 2026 table.
