Mumbai Open WTA 125K Series Sees Intense Matches on Penultimate Day

The Mumbai Open WTA 125K Series witnessed tense clashes at the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) on its penultimate day. Mananchaya Sawangkaew and Lilli Tagger secured wins, advancing to the Singles final. Elena Pridankina and Polina Iatcenko also progressed to the Doubles final after their victories.

The first semi-final featured a close battle between Mananchaya Sawangkaew and Lanlana Tararudee. Despite a back-and-forth match, Sawangkaew emerged victorious with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 win, securing her spot in the finals for the second consecutive year. In the second semi-final, Lilli Tagger defeated Fangran Tian in straight sets, earning her place in the final.

In the Doubles category, defending champions Elena Pridankina and Polina Iatcenko overcame Leolia Jeanjean and Naima Karamoko in a thrilling match. Pridankina/Iatcenko staged a comeback after losing the first set, eventually winning 2-6, 6-4, (10-2) to advance to the final.
