Music composer Tanishk Bagchi, known for composing the title track of the blockbuster film ‘Saiyaara’, has expressed his disappointment over not receiving royalties for the popular song. Bagchi revealed on Instagram that despite the song’s massive success, he is yet to be paid INR 8 lakhs in royalties as per the official documentation. He emphasized the effort and dedication he invested in creating the song, stating that the compensation he received was minimal compared to the song’s widespread popularity.

Bagchi highlighted his commitment to the music industry and his desire to collaborate with individuals who value creativity and integrity. He acknowledged the support of certain individuals involved in the project, particularly mentioning director Mohit Suri and lyricist Irshad Kamil. The composer’s post coincided with the first anniversary of ‘Saiyaara’, a song that challenged industry norms and resonated with audiences. Bagchi, who also composed the ‘Saiyaara Reprise – Female’ version sung by Shreya Ghoshal, expressed his perspective on the challenges faced in the entertainment industry.
