Myanmar President General Min Aung Hlaing visited the Mahabodhi Temple and the Sujata Temple in Bodh Gaya to pray for world peace and humanity’s welfare. The visit led to heightened security measures in the area, with top officials staying vigilant. President Min Aung Hlaing landed at Gaya International Airport at 9:00 A.M. and was welcomed by Bihar representatives and government officials.
The President, accompanied by a high-level delegation, then proceeded to Bodh Gaya under tight security. The convoy followed a secure route with multiple security layers in place. Upon arrival, the delegation was taken to a reception area before heading to the Mahabodhi Temple complex. Security was extensively beefed up along the route from the airport to the temple.
After offering prayers at the Mahabodhi Temple, President Min Aung Hlaing visited the Burmese Buddhist Monastery and the historic Sujata Temple. The visit concluded smoothly due to elaborate security, traffic management, and protocol arrangements. President Min Aung Hlaing is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 1 to enhance bilateral ties.
