Myntra, a prominent fashion and lifestyle platform in India, has introduced four initiatives through its CSR and Sustainability arm, Myntra Cares. These initiatives focus on mobility-enabled livelihoods and education under MynVidya. One of the programs, Livelihoods on Wheels, aims to provide employment and independence to individuals with disabilities through mobility support.
In collaboration with Alamba Charitable Trust, Livelihoods on Wheels seeks to offer sustainable livelihoods to 20 mobility-impaired individuals. Each beneficiary will receive NeoMotion mobility equipment valued at Rs 1,10,000, enabling them to earn independently as delivery agents, with expected monthly earnings of Rs 25,000–30,000.
Rita Antony, Founder-President of Alamba Charitable Trust, emphasized the importance of providing tools and training for differently-abled individuals to earn independently and regain confidence. Myntra Cares also focuses on education-related programs, supporting learners at various academic stages.
Myntra has partnered with Links Educational and Charitable Trust to provide primary education to 90 children from migrant worker families who have historically lacked access to formal schooling. Additionally, Myntra Cares is involved in a school infrastructure transformation project at BKMS School in Bangalore, in partnership with CommuniTree, focusing on classroom upgrades and digital learning infrastructure.
To support higher education, Myntra Cares has collaborated with Buddy4Study to offer scholarships to 175 students, including those from traditional artisan families and low-income garment worker families. Eligible students will receive financial support for three years of graduation in STEAM disciplines.
Through these initiatives, Myntra aims to address community needs by enabling livelihoods through mobility support and investing in education under MynVidya. These efforts reflect a commitment to long-term community engagement and development.
