Veteran actress Nafisa Ali disclosed that she was fighting Stage 3 cancer while filming ‘Max, Min and Meowzaki’ and is now battling Stage 4 cancer. She expressed that her decision to join the movie was influenced by its societal and generational message. Nafisa praised filmmaker Padmakumar Narasimhamurthy, also known as Paddy, for his unwavering faith in her during her self-doubt.
Nafisa shared, “Actually, it is Paddy’s belief in me that I could play this character. Because I was questioning myself. Because at that point of my life, I was battling Stage 3 cancer. Today, I am battling Stage 4 cancer.” Despite her health struggles, the actress remained motivated by her desire to convey a meaningful message through cinema.
Emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility and compassion, Nafisa highlighted the unpredictability of life. She underlined the significance of caring for one another and pondering on shared actions for the greater good. Nafisa stressed the essence of fighting for noble causes sincerely and the role of films in imparting messages for future generations.
