Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav visited New Delhi and had discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah regarding state matters. He also met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to exchange views on important issues. These meetings marked Yadav’s initial courtesy calls on the top officials since assuming office in Nagaland.
Yadav expressed gratitude and reiterated his dedication to Nagaland’s development, peace, and progress during the interactions. Since being sworn in as the 23rd Governor of Nagaland on March 13, Yadav has been actively engaging with various communities in the state. He highlighted the Northeast region’s recent focus and increased investments in connectivity, infrastructure, and economic development.
The Governor emphasized the positive impact of government initiatives in enhancing economic growth and quality of life in Nagaland. He praised the youth of Nagaland for their achievements in education, sports, arts, entrepreneurship, and public service, acknowledging their potential and talent. Yadav, a senior BJP leader from Bihar, has a long political career and was elected as the Governor of Nagaland in recognition of his contributions.
