Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah highlighted the pressing need to tackle the significant climate crisis facing humanity. At a screening of his short film “It’s Only 47°C,” he expressed his concerns about the changing climate, stating that he had learned from his experiences of prolonged absence of clear skies. Shah pointed out the increasing unpredictability of the climate, with unusual snowfall and rain patterns causing hardships for people.

Reflecting on the environmental impact, Shah acknowledged his own contribution to pollution, emphasizing the importance of recognizing individual responsibility and seeking solutions for the future. He emphasized the need for collective action to protect the environment, stressing that humans will bear the consequences of environmental degradation.

Naseeruddin Shah urged everyone to take steps to preserve the environment, underlining the shared responsibility in safeguarding the planet. Additionally, he shared his disappointment at being disinvited from an event at Mumbai University, describing the experience as disrespectful. Despite this, Shah is set to appear in Anubhav Sinha’s upcoming film “Assi,” alongside Taapsee Pannu.
