Nasscom, the IT industry’s top body, has named Srikanth Velamakanni, Co-Founder and Group Chief Executive of Fractal, as its new Chairperson. Velamakanni takes over from Sindhu Gangadharan, Managing Director of SAP Labs India, who completed her term in April 2026. Working closely with Nasscom President Rajesh Nambiar and the Executive Council, Velamakanni will lead the industry’s initiatives in line with global tech trends.
Velamakanni, previously Vice Chairperson of Nasscom, brings a blend of entrepreneurial spirit and AI expertise to his new role. His focus will be on advancing AI-driven services, fostering product innovation, and promoting India as a hub for cutting-edge AI solutions. He aims to drive growth through AI across services and products while preparing the workforce for an AI-centric future.
Kishor Patil, Co-Founder, CEO, and Managing Director at KPIT, has been elected as the new Vice Chairperson by the Nasscom Executive Council. Velamakanni’s appointment signifies a strategic move towards leveraging AI for business transformation and global competitiveness, as acknowledged by industry leaders.
