National Stock Exchange CEO Ashish Kumar Chauhan highlighted the significance of yoga in modern lifestyles, stating its benefits for physical and mental well-being. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the United Nations’ declaration of June 21 as International Day of Yoga in 2015. Chauhan emphasized that yoga promotes fitness and health without the reliance on external equipment.
He pointed out the rise in screen usage leading to various health issues due to prolonged hours spent on digital devices. Chauhan stressed the role of yoga in addressing these health concerns. Encouraging youth to incorporate yoga into their daily routines, he suggested that early adoption of yoga could prevent future health problems.
In the context of NSE’s upcoming IPO, the exchange faces unresolved co-location and dark fiber cases as per its Draft Red Herring Prospectus. NSE has proposed a settlement payment of Rs 1,491.21 crore to SEBI to resolve these matters. The IPO disclosures include legal proceedings pending before the Supreme Court, SEBI, and other regulatory bodies.
