The National Testing Agency (NTA) shared insights on the extensive coordination involved in conducting the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination. Over 20 lakh candidates appeared at 5,440 centers in India and 14 abroad, with the test conducted in 13 languages.
Highlighting the collective effort, NTA emphasized the nationwide support for the examination, involving various individuals and institutions. Special arrangements were made for over 10,000 Persons with Disabilities and around 81 candidates with serious medical conditions, ensuring equal opportunities for all.
NTA outlined the stringent security measures for the exam, including biometric and face authentication, CCTV surveillance, and support from State Police forces. The examination received backing from multiple ministries and departments, along with contributions from State Governments in providing necessary facilities for candidates.
Expressing gratitude to all involved, NTA underscored the collaborative effort that enabled more than 20 lakh aspirants to take the examination smoothly. The agency highlighted the swift completion of the operation in 37 days and appreciated the support from academic experts in preparing question papers.
