Refuting rumors of internal discord within the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction), Sunil Tatkare, the Maharashtra unit chief and MP, emphasized the party’s unity. Speculation arose after Tatkare and Praful Patel met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, with reports suggesting that party leaders were unaware of the meeting’s details.
Tatkare clarified that Sunetra Pawar, the party’s National President, is regularly updated on all developments, dismissing claims of lack of transparency. He highlighted the longstanding bond with late Ajit Pawar and reiterated a similar understanding with Sunetra Pawar, emphasizing open communication within the party.
Addressing the nature of the meeting, Tatkare explained that routine administrative matters, not necessarily political, were discussed with the Chief Minister. He stressed the importance of political protocol and transparent communication within the party, particularly with Sunetra Pawar.
Reports of a possible NCP alliance with the NDA were denied by Tatkare, who clarified that Jayant Patil’s presence at the meeting was unrelated to political discussions. Tatkare, along with Parth Pawar and Praful Patel, will address legal matters in Delhi, including filling vacant party positions and responding to legal notices.
