In the recent 16th Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship 2026, Nausheen Naz emerged as the top scorer with an impressive nine goals. The 15-year-old striker from Seoni, Madhya Pradesh, showcased exceptional finishing skills during the tournament.

Attending the U-18 National Coaching Camp at SAI Bhopal, Nausheen’s journey to the national stage reflects her resilience and determination. Despite facing financial challenges and societal biases, she pursued her passion for hockey with resourcefulness and dedication.

Nausheen’s initial steps in hockey were marked by improvisation due to limited resources. Motivated by her sister, she repaired a broken hockey stick to kickstart her practice. Overcoming financial instability and social barriers, Nausheen’s perseverance and family support have been instrumental in her success.
