NCP leader Nawab Malik criticized the BJP, Shiv Sena, and MNS for polarizing the upcoming Municipal Corporation elections in Maharashtra. He highlighted that these parties are diverting attention from real issues and manipulating public sentiments. The elections are scheduled for January 15, with results expected on January 16, marking the end of the campaign today.
Malik, representing the Ajit Pawar-led NCP, expressed optimism about his party’s performance in the elections. He emphasized the hard work of NCP candidates across various areas, believing in their potential to secure significant victories. In contrast, he condemned the rival alliances for exploiting religious sentiments and attempting to polarize the Mumbai municipal elections.
Addressing the divisive tactics employed by rival parties, Malik denounced the misuse of religion and ethnicity in the election campaigns. He stressed the importance of unity across society, criticizing the focus on issues like ‘Jai Shri Ram’, burqas, and regional identities. Malik emphasized that the election results will reveal the insignificance of these divisive strategies and the public’s rejection of such tactics.
