NCP (SP) leader Rohit Pawar made serious allegations against Sunil Tatkare and Praful Patel, accusing them of trying to take over the Nationalist Congress Party after the tragic death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar. Pawar claimed that a group of leaders wrote to the Election Commission of India proposing changes to the party constitution to give extensive powers to a “working president.” Additionally, he mentioned that Sunetra Pawar urged the Election Commission to ignore such communications during the transition period following Ajit Pawar’s passing.

Rohit Pawar hinted at a complex plot involving letters to the Election Commission, alleged involvement of black magic practitioners, and the silencing of family members. He disclosed that a letter, signed by Praful Patel, Sunil Tatkare, and Brijmohan Srivastava, was sent to the Election Commission on February 16, 2026, just 18 days after Ajit Pawar’s fatal accident. The letter purportedly aimed to transfer all party powers from Ajit Pawar to the Working President, Praful Patel, without the knowledge of key family members or MLAs.

Moreover, Rohit Pawar raised concerns about potential occult influences on party leadership, mentioning rituals conducted outside Ajit Pawar’s residence while he was alive. He also highlighted a possible collaboration with external political entities, referencing a statement by Union Minister Piyush Goyal who mistakenly referred to Praful Patel as the NCP National President shortly after the accident. Pawar insinuated a pre-planned transition orchestrated by Patel, Tatkare, and other senior figures.

Alleging that MLAs were instructed not to discuss Ajit Pawar’s accident during the Assembly session, Rohit Pawar claimed that Jay Pawar’s attempt to address the media was suppressed. He reiterated the call for a thorough criminal investigation into the accident. In a cautionary message to Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar, Pawar emphasized the need for vigilance in the face of questionable intentions among those in power, warning of the complexities within the political landscape.
