Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Maharashtra President and MP Sunil Tatkare announced that the party’s 27th Foundation Day will be celebrated on June 10 under the theme, “Dedication, Struggle and Resolve”. This marks the first Foundation Day event since the passing of former party president and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. The celebrations will focus on honoring dedication, the party’s journey of struggle, and its vision for the future.
The event will be overseen by NCP National President and Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar. Tatkare mentioned that preparations involved virtual meetings with party members from different levels across Maharashtra. He highlighted Ajit Pawar’s efforts in expanding the party’s support base and leading it to success in the 2004 Assembly elections.
Reflecting on the party’s recent performance, Tatkare acknowledged their strong showing in the Assembly elections under Ajit Pawar’s leadership. Despite challenges in the Lok Sabha elections, the NCP secured 41 out of 59 seats contested, with a notable success rate of nearly 72%. Tatkare urged party members to participate actively in the Foundation Day program to reinforce the organization and propel their work forward with renewed vigor.
