NCP-SP legislative party leader Jayant Patil criticized the Maharashtra government in the Legislative Assembly for its governance approach and handling of major infrastructure projects. Patil expressed concerns over the government’s alignment with global politics, citing US President Donald Trump’s influence and questioning the impact on Indian farmers.
Patil also questioned the government’s infrastructure claims, highlighting issues with projects like the Samruddhi Highway. He emphasized the need to address traffic congestion in urban centers like Pune and sought updates on industrial townships along the Samruddhi Mahamarg.
Raising further concerns, Patil mentioned the Mumbai Metro projects, referencing a recent incident at a construction site and calling for a thorough audit of all Metro projects. He criticized the financial challenges faced by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority and urged the government to prioritize governance and long-term planning.
