Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) state president Sunil Tatkare issued a warning against the dissemination of fake AI-generated audio and video clips featuring party leader Ajit Pawar. Tatkare emphasized that spreading such content is a serious offense and urged immediate cessation of sharing to avoid legal repercussions. He stressed the importance of verifying the authenticity of audio and video clips before circulating them on social media to prevent misinformation.
Tatkare highlighted the misuse of sentiments towards Ajit Pawar and condemned the unethical dissemination of fabricated material. He asserted the party’s commitment to taking legal action under cyber laws to hold accountable those responsible for creating and sharing misleading content. The NCP president urged the public to refrain from forwarding suspicious content and to uphold the integrity of information shared on social platforms.
The NCP had previously called for a CBI investigation into the death of Ajit Pawar, citing alleged irregularities and suspicious circumstances surrounding a plane crash in Baramati. Tatkare revealed that the party submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who assured cooperation in pursuing a CBI probe. Concerns were raised regarding operational decisions, ATC communications, and safety systems onboard the aircraft, prompting the NCP to demand an independent inquiry into the incident.
