NDA leaders have endorsed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plea for citizens to save fuel, cut down on unnecessary travel, refrain from non-essential gold purchases, and embrace work-from-home options due to ongoing global energy uncertainties linked to geopolitical tensions.

JD(U) National Working President and Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjay Jha, expressed solidarity with the Prime Minister’s message, highlighting India’s effective handling of the situation despite disruptions in global oil and gas supply chains, particularly due to the conflict involving Iran impacting energy routes like the Strait of Hormuz.

Sanjay Jha emphasized the impact of global conflicts on India, especially the situation with Iran, a crucial hub for oil and gas transportation. He credited India’s stable fuel and LPG supply to robust management but stressed the challenges posed by the crisis scale and duration, urging everyone to heed the Prime Minister’s call.

In a similar vein, BJP Bihar State President, Sanjay Saraogi, contextualized the Prime Minister’s appeal within the backdrop of prolonged global instability affecting energy supplies worldwide, including tensions involving the US, Iran, and Israel. He underscored the disruptions in energy and petroleum products due to conflicts among these nations, prompting the Prime Minister’s plea for responsible actions from the public.

The leaders acknowledged India’s resilient fuel supply system amid external pressures, attributing it to coordinated government management and strategic planning. However, they stressed the importance of public cooperation in the face of ongoing global volatility to ensure energy conservation and long-term stability.

Prime Minister Modi’s call is viewed as part of a broader initiative to promote responsible consumption practices among citizens, particularly crucial as international energy markets remain highly sensitive to geopolitical shifts.
