Nearly 1.47 crore domestic LPG cylinders have been delivered in the past three days, surpassing fresh bookings of about 1.36 crore cylinders. Despite supply chain disruptions due to the Middle East conflict, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas ensures uninterrupted cooking gas supply across the country.
Online LPG cylinder bookings have surged to almost 99%, with delivery authentication code (DAC) based deliveries reaching around 96% to prevent diversion at distributor levels. The DAC is sent to the consumer’s registered mobile number for verification.
Since March this year, approximately 10.02 lakh PNG connections have been gasified, with infrastructure in place for an additional 3.22 lakh connections, totaling 13.24 lakh connections. States and Union Territories are encouraged to facilitate the migration of LPG consumers to PNG where network availability exists.
