Filmmaker Neeraj Pandey addressed the backlash surrounding his upcoming drama, “Ghooskhor Pandat,” following criticism of the title. The term “Pandat” in the title, according to Pandey, is a colloquial name for a fictional character and not meant to target any specific caste or community. He emphasized that the film is a fictional cop drama focusing on individual actions and choices without any intention to offend or represent any group.
In response to concerns raised, Pandey expressed regret for any unintended offense caused by the title. He mentioned that all promotional materials for the movie will be temporarily removed to address the sensitivities of viewers. Pandey emphasized that the film was created with the aim of entertaining audiences and looks forward to sharing the complete story with viewers soon.
Starring Manoj Bajpayee in the lead role, “Ghooskhor Pandat” also features Nushrat Bharuccha, Saqib Saleem, Akshay Oberoi, and Divya Dutta in significant roles.
