Amid reports suggesting the National Testing Agency (NTA) resolved the issue of a NEET-UG 2026 re-test candidate from Nagpur being allotted an exam center in Abu Dhabi, the student’s father refuted the claims. Mohammad Talib, father of candidate Abdullah Mohammad Talib, stated they had not received any official communication or updated admit card yet. The family is awaiting a response from the NTA regarding the matter.
Talib mentioned that despite assurances from an NTA official, they had not received any formal updates by Saturday afternoon. The controversy arose when Abdullah, a Nagpur resident, was given an exam center in Abu Dhabi for the Re-NEET UG 2026 exam. Abdullah had chosen Nagpur, Wardha, and Bhandara as preferred cities, but the admit card showed Abu Dhabi as the center.
The administrative error caused distress to the student and family, especially with the exam approaching. Abdullah, who lacks a passport, faced travel impossibility. The incident sparked concerns on social media about such errors in a crucial entrance exam.
