Nepal’s top political figures have extended their congratulations to the newly-elected Prime Minister Balendra Shah, expressing hopes for his successful leadership in the Himalayan nation. Former Prime Minister Sushila Karki conveyed her best wishes to Shah, emphasizing the importance of fulfilling the public’s expectations. Shah, who assumed office as the 47th Prime Minister after recent parliamentary elections, marks a new era of leadership in Nepal.

Former Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli also joined in congratulating Shah and his Cabinet members, highlighting the significance of their upcoming tenure. Shah’s victory over Oli in the elections signifies a shift in political dynamics, with a new generation of leaders taking charge. Additionally, Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa pledged support for the new government’s endeavors towards national progress and good governance, despite facing setbacks in recent elections.

The newly appointed Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle emphasized the government’s commitment to fulfilling the people’s mandate for change. Acknowledging the public’s call for action, Wagle outlined the government’s focus on economic development by streamlining regulations and promoting good governance. The Rastriya Swatantra Party’s electoral promises align with these goals, aiming to drive economic growth and ensure effective governance in Nepal.
