A recent audio recording, allegedly featuring Masood Azhar, the leader of the banned terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), has surfaced online, causing outrage on social media. In the chilling audio, Azhar boasts of having thousands of bombers ready to carry out terror attacks in India. He is heard stating that more than a thousand suicide bombers are prepared to strike, with India being their main target. Azhar also hints at a larger undisclosed number of bombers that could shock the global community if revealed.
Notably, Masood Azhar, a UN-designated terrorist, has a history of inciting violence and planning attacks against India from Pakistani territory. His ‘warriors,’ as he refers to them, are portrayed as willing to sacrifice their lives for their cause without seeking material comforts. The authenticity and date of the audio recording have not been independently verified yet. Azhar’s threats in the audio are viewed as an attempt to propagate propaganda and intimidate, following losses suffered by his group during Operation Sindoor.
Masood Azhar has a notorious reputation for orchestrating various terror attacks, including the 2001 Parliament attack and the 2008 Mumbai attacks. This recent audio release is seen as another instance of Azhar openly expressing his malicious intentions to instigate terror activities in India.
