India criticized Pakistan for misusing its temporary membership on the UN Security Council by spreading false narratives. India’s Permanent Representative P Harish emphasized that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and Pakistan should fulfill its responsibilities on the Council. Pakistan’s behavior, including circulating misleading communications, was denounced as using UN platforms for divisive political interests.
Pakistan’s term as a Council member, marked by frequent attacks on India unrelated to the agenda, will end this year. Harish reminded Pakistan that being on the Security Council is a significant responsibility, not a platform for biased narratives. He dismissed Pakistan’s claims about Kashmir’s future, reiterating that Jammu and Kashmir is an inseparable part of India based on historical facts.
